These are pictures of the existing and new hospice sites. The original was built eight years ago by Armando Mendoza and his wife Olivia. While Armando worked as a paramedic in Tijuana County Hospital he saw many dying patients who were forced to leave the hospital as there was no more room for them and no families to care for them. Armando began to take the patients on his rented property and with the support of his church and other volunteers he has now cared for hundreds of sick and dying people who had nowhere else to go.

The land for the new hospice site has been generously donated by a Tijuana church.  The first two buildings were built by Mexican youths under the direction of Pastor Sergio Gomez. The initial plan is to build ten similar buildings with bathroom facilities in between the buildings. Later a large dining facility and kitchen will be added.  The project's directors hope to finish this fall.
